Mrs Crabtree is ill and Mr Crabtree is unemployed. He was relieved of his job since his personal coach thought he had grown a little too old and grey. Just at that moment he receives a telephone call. At the other end of the line is an employer who offers him an appointment. After a meeting with a headhunter employed by the company Mr Crabtree is given the job. He starts working at a private office, with financial reports in the inbox and operating reports in the outbox. But the anonymity and mysterious nature of the employer bothers him. Fru Krabbträd är sjuk och herr Krabbträd är arbetslös. Han blev entledigad från sitt jobb då hans personliga coach tyckte att han blivit lite för gammal och grå. Då får han plötsligt får ett samtal. I andra änden finns en arbetsgivare som erbjuder honom en anställning. Efter ett möte med en headhunter anställd av företaget får herr Krabbträd jobbet. Han börjar arbeta på ett eget privat kontor, med finansiella rapporter i inkorgen och rörelserapporter i utkorgen. Men arbetsgivarens anonymitet och mystiska natur förbryllar honom. Tills en dag, när arbetsgivaren plötsligt väntar på kontoret med en högst oväntad arbetsuppgift…
